Excursions
Are you in love with mountains? Santa Caterina Valfurva is what you're looking for. From here you can experience countless ascents to the mountains of the Ortles-Cevedale chain. They're part of the Southern Retiche Alps included in the Stelvio National Park.
The territory includes over 100 glaciers and more than 70 peaks over 3000 m. Mount Ortles - with its 3,905 m asl is the highest peak of this group. Among the most famous there are Mount Cevedale, Gran Zebru, Palòn della Mare and Mount Vioz.

Bike
Santa Caterina Valfurva and Alta Valtellina are a great place to spend a bike holiday. Mountain biking lovers can test dirt roads and several trails for all levels.
Following the paths that take one day to be explored you will reach mountain huts, woods and pastures. Children will have a ball at the wonderful bike centre: specialized instructors and guides are available for fantastic bike trips.
Do you prefer road bike? You have plenty of choice! You may want to experience the great climbs of Giro d'Italia, face significant vertical drops, challenge the legendary Gavia, Stelvio and Mortirolo passes just like the best cyclists. When the weather is nice and the effort is regular anybody will be able to repeat the gestures of the great athletes without much effort.

Running and Nordic Walking
Santa Caterina is the right place for runners thanks to long flat areas and the many climbs and asphalt or dirt roads. You won't get bored here and the holidays will bring great body and mental benefits.
Santa Caterina is also home to the Nordic Walking Park. You'll find four routes with signs and information, just outside our town: Path Isola (easy - 2,16 km), Path Nassegno (easy - 2,1 km), Path La Sella (medium difficulty - 2,14 km), Path La Romantica (difficult - 1,13 km).
Guided walks (according to level of preparation) are organised: wellness walk (simple walking), fitness walk (walking with aerobic training) and sport walk (advanced level exercises).

Tennis and Golf
Whether you are a tennis pro or a Sunday tennis player, you never say no to a good match. Near our hotel you will find a floodlit synthetic tennis court.
You can also find a Golf Club in Bormio, not far from Santa Caterina. No doubt this is one of the best golf courts in the Italian Alps! It's open every day, from April to November, surrounded by a beautiful panorama and kept in perfect conditions.

Do you love skiing in the summer too? Stelvio, the largest glacier in Europe, is about an hour from Santa Caterina. Lifts open from May to November to welcome ski lovers.
